Not entirely sure of subspecies. This is in the exhibit opposite the tapirs. This always used to be home to pure A. b. binturong, and the animals currently here look very big to be among the RSCC's newly-imported A. b. whitei.

Does anyone know for sure?

When I visited in April, the binturongs opposite the tapirs were, I believe, of the subspecies you suggested. Attached was the sign by the enclosure. All the Palawan binturongs (which had arrived a few days earlier) were in the indoor enclosure. I presume this is still the case.

Thanks mhale, that's what we were thinking. :)
