These highly-poisonous spiders were all over the ground at night, and could be seen from quite a distance because of their green eyeshine. Pretty creepy.

I wouldn't worry about wolf spiders (unless you're a dog!). Their venom isn't particularly dangerous to humans, usually causing simple swelling or redness. Necrotis can occur but this is not an affect of the venom. They aren't aggressive either, so they're not going to bite you unless you force them to.
They can kill dogs easily though, because there seems to be something in the venom that affects them badly.
