Tarsier taxidermy; RSCC; 20th June 2015

Part of a small museum section, recently opened in the entrance foyer; in addition to the tarsiers, this also includes mounted clouded leopard, rusty-spotted cat and ring-tailed mongoose.

@Tim May Do you know if these taxidermy specimens are of animals that had died at this zoo ? or were they from elsewhere?

I believe the taxidermy specimens were former inhabitants of the zoo.

@Tim May Interesting specimen and quite well done. I think it is hard to actually replicate artistically the eyes of these little primates to make them look lifelike considering that there is nothing quite like the tarsiers eyes and they are such a defining feature.
