Yes, but I don't think it's as far as the picture makes it seem. I didn't notice it being too far to view them.

At least they're giving an animal the needs lots of privacy and shade just that.

This is in no way the closest you can get to the cassowary, the other enclosure has a glass window which the animal came up to now and then - I'll upload a picture as soon as possible.

Is that viewable down another path leading off from the one where the above picture was taken?

If so, that path was blocked off on my visit due to some staff/builders doing something.

Yes, it was located at the end of the cassowary exhibit closest to the entrance, but still next to the road where this picture was taken on, so that could be possible.
