This is a lovely photograph of one of my favourite species.

On my visits to the RSCC I seldom saw a fanaloka awake in a photographable position; if I saw one at all it was generally just a ball of fur curled up asleep! (Which is, of course, fairly typical behaviour for a small carnivore.)

This is defintely one of my very favourite photographs on ZooChat; I am extremely envious!

Thanks Tim......coming from the someone who has posted a great many photographs on Zoochat that I admire, this is praise indeed.

Literally taken 5 minutes before we chatted at RSCC on the 22nd August!!

A great shot indeed, Newzooboy!

I have to say I was hoping for one of the fanaloka to adopt a similar position/pose in the enclosure during my later visit, but -- although one was active for a short period -- alas its position was not ideal for photos. I only managed a single portrait against the wire in the end. Nonetheless, good to see it at all, of course. :)
