That's right, Australia doesn't have many African birds of any type. Werribee Zoo did use to have Egyptian Gees in the old drive thru Hippo paddock, but I haven't seen them at the zoo for several years now. Wild Cape Barren Geese can be seen at the zoo though.
Werribee has basically no birds on display, with the exception of ostrich, emu, brolga, guineafowl and chickens. There are plenty of wild birds around though, especially in this enclosure. Egyptian Goose would be a great (re-)addition to the zoo though, as would a aviary with smaller African birds, such as queleas or lovebirds.
