Should have thought of that; boy am I rusty on fish.
 
I have just checked my notes and pictures and I have this dowm as Red-tailed Tetra!

The problem is that that Isn't Actually a Thing. :D

Neither FishBase nor Google can find any reference to this common name. Sounds like someone making up common names pet-shop-stylee. There is a species known as Redfin Tetra and a Bloodfin Tetra, but these are both Hyphessobrycon species and look nothing like this.

This is M. argenteus as noted above, or at the very least a Metynnis of some description.

Right in that case does the scientific name Hyphessobrycon colombianus,fit for the species as thats what I have for the scientific name!
 
I first thought it to be a redfin tetra until I saw it looked nothing like a tetra. So at least we have a positive i.d.
