This doesn't look like one of the usual slick, themed Sea Life exhibits...the enclosure appears to be rather weather-beaten and old. Surely it was in place before the Sea Life franchise invaded the land. Also, how many of the dozen or so Sea Life establishments in the U.K. have otters and seals?
When this centre first opened it was only the indoor building,none of the outdoor exhibit were here,until after about 2003,I think this could have been the first Otter enclosure that was at a sealife centre,but have to agree it hasn't aged well and isn't as slick as some of the others!
You don`t often see the "trusty old rubber tyre" in many exhibits these days!
Personally I think they serve a purpose, but I know some zoo directors who hate the sight of them in their zoos!
