This has been the entrance area to the zoo for all of my lifetime, but it is about to be converted into new toilets. At the moment only Guinea Pigs and a Giant Rabbit are in the yard but it has held many species over the years, both birds and mammals. Sweeping the yard was my least favourite job when I worked at the zoo. These days I often offer to sweep the zoo kitchen and I did it for the last time today - it is returning to where it was when I worked there.
