Sewerby Hall and Gardens, clifftop paddock with sea behind 26th December 20

I had to take a photo with the sea behind, even if it was not after dark as I had hoped.
Thank-you. They are what I still call Formosan Sika. There has been a herd at Sewerby for a long time - I have a slide taken by my father in I think 1963 that shows a stag in its summer coat.

Does that mean people call them something other than Formosan sika nowadays?

'Taiwanese Sika' would be the alternative - though of course it's really the island that has changed name rather than the deer!

I have seen them called Taiwanese Sika hence my comment, in fact I think I have seen just "Taiwan Sika".
