Do they have a male too? I first saw them at Dartmoor last year and was stunned by the beauty of the male. Unfortunately, he was lurking in the dark so my photos didn't do him justice. I suggested to my local zoo that they should have some and was told that they dig up their enclosures.
Sewerby has a young pair, recently arrived from Harewood, so at the moment they both look pretty much the same. The cock birds are indeed spectacular - Sewerby has had some lovely specimens in the past.
