Ryal and Angel enjoying another glorious day at sunny Sewerby, 21st June 20

A bit better day than the 10th May.

1. I am not 100% certain, but they arrived together (from a breeder in the Cleethorpes area) so it seems likely.

2. He bleats with a high-pitched voice.

Not sure that is a sign though you might think so.;) The reason I suggested he was 'done' was three-fold;

1. Its usual practise in these sort of places not to keep full Billies- at least where people can touch them, because they smell so rank and can be quite bolshy.
2. His horns aren't long and curving, but still thicker than a female's.
3. His coat is quite short. (Proper billy has long flowing 'mane' of hair)

I don't really know how he bleats! I just meant "yes". Sewerby had an entire billy in the 1990s. Sirus was definitely both bolshy and smelly, but he was the favourite of one of the estate golf attendants.

I do like real Billies, they are quite impressive, but for reasons above, not the best exhibits. This one is definately not one.;)

I have some friends who have a (now) neutered Pygmy billy as an attraction at a tearooms. He is also quite bolshy- he virtually demolished his original indoor shelter.

After he was neutered at a year old he lost all his long smelly hair and isn't unpleasant to touch anymore. His horns also stopped growing and are similar in length/thickness to this one.

Ryal likes trying to destroy things but not as much as Bailey, another former Sewerby neutered billy. He was rehomed a couple of years ago albeit not to the nunnery that was going to have him - the nuns changed their minds when they were told what he was like. Bailey liked to destroy shelters, but he also tried to fell large trees. He just stood there violently butting them (to no avail fortunately).
