This looks a lot more like an Andean, with the 'black triangle' at the rear end, yellow legs and 'blush' effect on the breast. Bill isn't quite right though, so I wonder if it's a hybrid?

Well spotted - I didn't think too much of it as there were three birds in the same pool (mixed with Lesser and American), and I was told that they had about 3 James' flamingos, so my guess would be hybrid as opposed to pure Andean.

I thought they still had 3 left but,if they only have 1 left then it could explain why they split the Jame's from the Andean if they were creating hybrids!!

There were only two visible when I was last there and Zootierliste now has them as the dreaded 'Einzeltier' (second most worrying Zootierliste note after 'Hinter den Kulissen'!).
On their way out at Slimbridge, I'm afraid. There's a bigger group at Berlin and they are breeding there slowly.
A couple of weeks ago I saw the single James' and two Andean (hybrids?) mixed with the Lesser flock. I couldn't see any of the main Andean flock, but I'm sure they were just tucked away out of sight.
