Their website says they are one of only two zoos to hold Lumholtz's tree kangaroo...Does anyone know what the other zoo is?

And is this exhibit bigger then this photo shows and is any of it open to the sky?

David Fleay Wildlife Park have 1.4(?).

From memory, the exhibit is only a little bit bigger than the photo shows and only the front metre-metre and half, is uncovered.

I didn't think this was a very impressive exhibit and all the metal in the background wrecked the 'immersion' feel that had been brilliantly applied to the rest of the park.

LOU, We went to Fleays in Feb and they only had one female, they said the male and a joey had died?

DFWP claimed they had 1.4 Lumholtz's Tree-kangaroos but i'm unsure of how old the records are. You're probably right.

:)

Thats what the TK keeper had told us and we did only see the one female, have you any idea what happened to the group that NPs had held at Townsville?

The Townsville breeding program was ceased and the group split up between the two collections, one in the deep south of Queensland and the other one in the far north of the state. I visited Port Douglas in 2007 but only found out what the other collection was upon arriving back in Iceland.
