there's one on the far right (next to what looks like a gate), and one on the far left at the back.

Do the animals have also areas where there is not so much gravel? Just because a part of their natural habitat looks like, the don't need JUST this.

I sort of presumed this enclosure was unfinished and this was just the raw materials for landscaping. It looks rather like the waste from a Quarry. But I should have known better of course- being South Lakes they've tipped in a pile of rock and rubble and shoved the animals in it.eek:

I don't believe they do (apart from the indoor housing of course) this enclosure used to have a raised platform when the Lions occupied it but I think that has gone now......

This is an enclosure?! I thought it was debris from razed buildings? I hope a leopard doesn't find a cave amongst the rubble and die from a collapse.

You are correct Chlidonias.

The enclosure is probably a split of 60% rock and 40% grass/shrubs. I also thought it was an unfinished project but they looked quite at home on it,and the camouflage was spot on.I don't think its ideal, but its a damned sight better than sharing an enclosure with Lions, and having to alternate access with them.:)

I would say it is also a damned sight better than just having an enclosure of bare grass with a wooden platform to sit on. There's a funny optical illusion here too where the enclosure looks really small until you see the snow leopards and realise a lot of those rocks are actually pretty darn big.
