Maybe they will keep this one open for a longer time than the present one. When I attended here in March I went for my lunch and didn't realise just how limited the opening time for the walk through aviary was and missed it completely
I really don't know Chlidonias, it was my 1 and only visit so far.
Maybe as it needs to be manned by a zoo employee (Ranger/keeper or whatever they want to be titled as ) because of the Condors and King vultures that are in there?
They don't seam to worry about having an Anaconda able to "roam" in an unattended indoor exhibit,or a 6 feet tall Emu walk around open enclosures too. Its definitely a strange place. Some bits good,some not so good.

On my last 2 visits the current aviary has been open all day with no staff in it at all,despite the fact that the King Vultures like sitting on the visitors walk way!!!
