Gibbon exhibit left, waterfowl right 16th April 2004

Gibbon exhibit left...

The 'waterfowl on right' look to be a Common Shelduck [fair enough] and a chicken. did they have any other ducks?

I have just checked my notes from this visit and the only other species that qualifies as "waterfowl" is the Bar-headed Goose - not sure it was in here though as it is written a bit further down. Of course the stock was much reduced by this time, so some species could have been recent departures. I think I used the "waterfowl on right" bit in the title because I could see the Shelduck! My notes have Lady Amherst's Pheasant between the chicken and the Shelduck (followed by Indian Peafowl) so maybe the exhibit was a hotchpotch, I'm afraid I do not remember.
