the white-faced heron (Ardea novaehollandiae) is quite interesting in the Fijian avifauna because it self-introduced in the late 1990s, probably from New Zealand, and is now reasonably well-established on Viti Levu. There were none on display at Kula when I was there in 2007.
 
Can any of you still recall which other species are exhibited in this exhibit? Just out of curiousity… ;)
long time ago, but I *think* when I was there this aviary had collared lory and a male golden dove. Those are the only two I recall.
