The distinctive shark-(or boat-)shaped profile of one of Hull's most distinctive buildings.
The distinctive shark-(or boat-)shaped profile of one of Hull\'s most distinctive buildings.

Two questions:

1. Is this the largest aquarium in the UK?
2. What is exhibited in the glass triangle at the tip of the building?

An answer and a half

1. It depends what you mean. I think that the main tank at The Deep is the deepest individual tank and may have the largest volume, but the National Marine Aquarium at Plymouth has several large displays and I guess it has the largest total volume of water.
2. The glass prism is an observation gallery reached from the restaurant on the top floor.

Thank you, gentle lemur.

Actually it's based on a geological formation - a rocky escarpment rising out of the ground; or there was a suggestion of a glacier slipping towards the estuary by the architects.
