Sorry I cant help you on the species list. I'm afraid I didn't take that much notice as their aviary is right next to the tigers enclosure,which seeing as though photographing the youngs cubs was my main reason for going it was understandably my focus of attention.
There were definitely more than 30 individuals though,and when they all called at the same time it was a very load and powerful noise.
You cant see it on the photo but there was lots of fruit thrown onto the top of the aviary so the birds can fly up to the roof,hang upside down and pick at the fruit much the same as in the wild I suppose.
If I remember I will put some more Macaw's photos on then you can see for yourself.
@zoofari These are the two most frequently kept as pets I think- particularly the Blue and Gold. I can't see any Scarlet or Military in here, the other two less commonly held species. I'd much rather see them like this than singly in people's living rooms in those horrible iron barred 'prison' cages.
