It looked different to the original plans actually, though as I don't have a copy of those to hand I cannot be sure.

I just found a screenshot I had which enabled me to find the website I got it from:-

National Wildlife Conservation Park, Bristol | Chris Blandford Associates

It looks a little different although I haven't attempted to look into the detail yet.

From a Google search before I found the above, you've probably seen this before like I had:-

From the conceptual drawings that stulch posted it looks like they plan to build some kind of aquarium building with manatees and crocodiles? Is that a real plan?

One thing this does show is how they must have the easiest access from a Motorway of just about any Zoo/park in the UK.

Also the easiest access to a shopping complex with the large mall at Cribbs Causeway on the other side of the M5.

The place should be, in time, a moneyspinner. It will be interesting to know at what point it begins to impact on the attendances of other nearby collections.

It is (was?) part of the masterplan, if memory serves me correctly it is going to be a Costa Rican swamp house. It would be one of two major buildings on site, the other was a tropical house/marine aquarium based on the Indian Ocean.

My thoughts exactly, but a bit of competition is often a wonderful thing to observe. Will it be possible to purchase a joint membership that covers both Bristol Zoo and The Wild Place?
