Looking across from one walkway to the other
This enclosure appears to be quite barren in all of the photos, but the visitor walkways are a great idea.

Is there some glas or so on the fence? Or can you stick your finger in the tigers enclosure?!

The tigers could move between different enclosures, so they weren't confined purely to the one in the photo. There were climbing frames and balls for them to use, but otherwise I suppose it was quite a barren enclosure. The walkways are a great idea, and something I have not really encountered for big cat enclosures.

The fence was made up of two rows of wire, with a gap of about 6 inches between, so fingers / claws could not be poked through the wire. There was no glass on the fence at all.

Interesting idea, but it looks like a slight breeze would blow the fence over!

No, it was sturdier than it looks in this photo! I wonder where they got the idea from though, as I have never been so close to a tiger before unless there has been glass between us.

It's a good idea, and cheaper.
Just hope there were no idiots with sticks around.

I certainly saw no-one like that. It was a very family orientated place; mostly couples with their young kids. I would imagine they haven't had any problems, otherwise I'm sure they would change the enclosure.

Does Thrigby still have a pane of blue glass or acrylic, this was used to show the world through the eyes of a tiger

If it was there, I didn't see it. Whereabouts was the pane of glass situated?
