Javan Rhino

Chinese golden cat

Catopuma temminckii dominicanorum
The last of this subspecies in captivity outside the native range, no less!

I believe this individual may be moving to the Cat Survival Trust soon
Hope it doesn't as the clown that runs the place doesn't except that there are different sub-species of these superb cats and the one they have is different sub-species to the one they already have!!!

I rather hope not, as he is incredibly geriatric and thus it strikes me as better to allow him to live out his days at Thrigby.

I'm not sure if it is happening, just one of the tour guides at the CST said they may be looking at getting a couple of cats from Thrigby, I believe he mentioned this golden cat.

I really hope that this cat isn't moved to an off show facility! It is one of the main attractions for me at Thrigby, along with one of the most visible & active clouded leopards that I have seen, which was also rumoured to be leaving for the same place on another thread.
