A pair of these were a total but very welcome surprise - a first for me and a species not otherwise listed on Zootierliste (though it would seem a candidate to be in the trade).

I think I can see a visit coming to this great little collection to see these!

Possibly a bit too 'special' to be in a walk-through -- there can't be many about.

They were certainly about in private hands 15 years or so ago - my grandad had some, among many other passerines.

Europeans had a solution to this - we took all our common bird species and introduced them everywhere else, so that no-one would ever be excited to see them. ;)
