the Vivarium

a series of glass-fronted tanks for mostly native reptiles. The tanks were a decent size and well-furnished. The species here were the endemic geckos Rhacodactylus leachianus, R. auriculatus, R. sarasinorum and R. ciliatus, as well as Gehyra vorax (I only saw the first two of these species, the rest were hiding); the endemic giant skink Phoboscincus garnieri; the native Pacific tree boa Candoia bibroni; and three exotic species: the eastern water dragon from Australia, green iguana from South America, and radiated tortoise from Madagascar (the meshed enclosure visible at the end was where the tortoises were kept).
