Yes, the pheasant aviaries(domestic chicken, jungle fowl, crowned crane, golden pheasant ans lady Amherst pheasant) are all kept in criminally small areas. They originally had twice the space, but they were cut in half (cages not birds) to make an other aviary and a cramped walk-through tunnel. The new aviary is OK (waldrapp ibis, kookaburra and some species of egret(signing is bad as is my knowledge of birds), but the tunnel is not used.
the jungle fowl are doing well compared to the pheasants. The crowned cranes are doing the worst, before the large aviary was built there were 1.2, but now there's just one. Occasionally one of the pheasant aviary dwellers are let into the large aviary, but thats usually the junglefowl.
I'll try and get a picture on my next visit which should be Easter 2013.
large aviary: 4 kookaburras, 3 waldrapp ibis, 2 egret
smaller aviaries:1 crowned cranes, 2 lady Amherst pheasants, 2 golden pheasants, 2 jungle fowl and 4 domestic chickens.
edit: Trotters keep crowned cranes, not sandhills.
At all of my visits, and since I visit regularly, I always look out for births and deaths. I should be going in the Easter break, so should give you more info then.
I hate to any bird looking that unwell. I would imagine he would have become right again with some basic TLC, such a shame.... De-fleaed, De-wormed, injection of vitamins, warmth and high protein food (e.g. tuna) will generally bring right a rough looking chicken/fowl as long as nothing more serious is wrong with it.
There was either the same bird or a different bird in a similar condition as of Easter 2013, and is now in the main aviary.

Main:laughing kookaburra, little egret, hadada ibis,waldrapp, junglfowls.
Separate aviaries: white sussex's chicken, swinhoe's pheasant, golden pheasant, lady amherst's pheasant, crowned crane.
