Cheers, I thought it was the other way round when I was there but after you saying she acts like a male I wasn't sure.

Bongo has always been like this since she was adult- it may have something to do with her never having bred.

Howletts have a female 'Tebe' in Kifu's group who used to be very similar- always displaying like a male. Then after years of being thought infertile she started to breed- the 'butch' behaviour has stopped now.;)

Is there anything you don't know about Gorilla's? ;)

Yes. When London and Twycross are going to get new males!!;)

(And if you want to know how to identify Biddy from Bongo easily in future, look on what i said on the full length photo of Biddy about her 'silvery' leg).

I think I have it now, just they were apart and therefore are sometimes harder to tell just from the face (but now I have another way of Identification). ;)

@Pertinax, I guess she finally met her life partner that could withstand the dramatics... displayed. I assume this behaviour is characteristic of a female that is rather socially inept or insecure .... and has not lived a socially well adapted group.
