I agree, I think it's a couple of female or immature Superb's, although the records on Eremaea indicate the furthest South they go is Echuca (but there was a couple of records from Barwon Downs in 2006/2007).

I think they're distribution follows the major water courses into Victoria as well. They live along the Goulburn and Campaspe rivers so they could follow the Campaspe to near Bendigo.
