here we go again.. yes, it is Ozala- 'smaller' face, smaller crest than Asante. the pic on page 4 by MHale IS (as correctly pointed out by Alan) Asante for comparison- she has a much bigger crest, more open facial expression and is more reddish-coloured (and is bigger too- but you can't see that in photos..)
There are other clues: Ozala's eyes frown - in a rather good-humoured way, her mouth smiles and she's always eating
She's a character and one of my favourite gorillas.

When she was growing up in the other 'group'rolleyes: ) Ozala would often carry a sack or paper bag around with her and repeatedly whack it on the ground- I don't know where she got that funny habit from.
I remember it was her because she was seen a few times outside by herself. And then later I got a good view of her in the sleeping quarters when she came in. Oumbi made an advance on her and she moved away.
Maybe Matadi moving out of the group has changed things a little?
I doubt it- Oumbi had effectively 'ousted' Matadi even before he was removed and I noticed his mother Ozala took no notice and was instead fascinated by the new male.
Seems he has already been mating with Ozala- not that I am surprised from her behaviour.
