ROLOWAY GEUNON?

Taken from my old photo collection unfortunatly no name
Could someone help out with the species and do they still have them

It's either Roloway Guenon or Diana Guenon - from the length of the white 'beard' I'd go with taun that it's a Roloway.

Both species are still at Twycross.

According to ISIS, 1.1 Diana and 1.2 Roloway. Sounds about right for what I saw last time I was there. No idea of ages, sorry.

I am fairly sure they are all old as there seems no breeding anymore (as sadly is the case with most of the Guenon species in the collection)

for give me for being ignorant but what oes it mean when you put 1.1 Diana and 1.2 Roloway I've seen it alot and still don't understand it help please

I refers to number of each sex,

1.1. means one male & one female
The first number is the number of males, the second is the number of females

so 1.2 is one male & two females.

A third number may be added to the end e.g. 1.2.1

This means they have one that the sex is unknown.

Hope this helps.

This refers to the number of male and female animals - the first number is the number of males, the second females, and sometimes there's a third for animals of unknown sex.

So 1.1 is one male and one female, 1.2 is one male, two females.

(If there's just one male, it would be 1.0. A pair and their as-yet-unsexed twin offspring would be 1.1.2 - it's a neat way to summarise the animals the zoo has).
