Himalaya entrance complex at Twycross 03/05/10

Building entrance (the actual zoo entrance is via kiosks behind the main building, bizarrely).

It does highlight rather more the big differences between this, the 'new'(?) Twycross and the 'old' Zoo. Once through here and the actual entrance kiosks you come face to face with the old style blocks of Monkey cages, the old cafe etc.

It's a bit of a jolt in style! And to be honest, the fact that they're still using the old-style kiosks beyond this building only reinforces the feeling that Himalaya is not really part of Twycross Zoo.

Yes, I got that feeling too. Because of the distance between it and the first animal exhibits you feel they are seperate.
