Is she behind the rope at the moment where visitors are not aloud. Do you know when she is going to go back on display? I have never seen here in her paddock when ive walked by there
I saw her in the top house which used to be for the deer, but she can go out into the large grass paddock and i think she has access to both houses and both paddocks but i dont know why that rope is accross
This is still taped off sying no visitors as quarantine. Anyone know what is in there now? Also to the left of this house is an enclosure with a pool. Are there any plans for anything to go in here?
This whole area from the Borneo Longhouse round to the first Gorilla House(now contains chimps) is just a 'nothing' area. I believe there's still one Tapir here though I haven't seen it on several visits. So there are several deserted looking paddocks and houses with nothing to see. They could certainly do with filling or redeveloping this area of the Zoo.
Yeah the tapir is still there I can confirm, but yeah they should definatly make use of this area. Theres definatly space to do so and the enclsoures are already there. Just needs a scrub up and that part of the zoo could be great. However maybe its not been done due to plans for an ape cognition centre in the very near future? This involves the knocking down of the green mile and old gorilla house to build one big enclosure. Maybe all that land is to be used as well?
