This is a pretty desolate picture - a rhea in a muddy field on a grey autumnal day. At Twycross. It doesn't exactly make the heart sing with excitement.
I thought that all of the exhibits along that back fence (backing onto the Giraffe car park) were a bit tired looking and in need of a major spruce up. Does the zoo have any plans for improving this area?

The problem is the Vicuna graze the grass right down to the roots (like sheep)and so it becomes bare-looking. Compare with the Camel photo above- their paddock doesn't look at all 'tired'.
