ID Please

Visited on 2nd August, sorry about the quality of the picture will be putting a independent review of my visit in the forum shortly.

Either a puna or a glossy ibis I would say. My first guess was Puna and Twycross keep them, but I'm not 100% on that one

Looks like a Glossy Ibis, but need a side on view to be certain.
I have never seen one from the top.

The white line above the base of the bill suggests Glossy.

Adrian - do you remember where in the zoo this was taken?

Maguari if I remember correctly it was in the Borneo Longhouse which I thought was one of the better exhibits at the zoo

Thanks - reason I ask is I believe the Punas were in the aviaries behind the Tropical House at last count, and the Glossies have always been in the aviary between the Longhouse and the zoo perimeter.

I just checked my bird book and you are right with the white line.

If this helps this bird is a lot bigger than the other Ibis I wanted ID for

It's a glossy ibis.
