S S Shorts 12 Oct 2011 Great photo, love it. If I'm amphromorphosising (spelling?) a little it seems to bring out the animal's character and quiet dignity.

P P Pertinax 12 Oct 2011 I don't know what day/date Bongo died but it must have been less than 10 days after this was taken.
SMR 12 Oct 2011 Jordan-Jaguar97 reported that Bongo had died on 05/10/2011, I took this on 30/09/2011, so at the very most, she only lived another 4-5 days.

G G GorillaBoy 27 Nov 2011 When you was there was she fine or did she show any signs of being ill etc. GB
SMR 28 Nov 2011 When we were there she just sat and stared at us, like a lot of gorillas do. There were no obvious signs that she was unwell.
