Says it all doesn't it, lazy and sloppy animal display, the heads must be really down at Twycross.
Very sad.

Of course, i said this before looking at the pics of the redevloped penguin pool and new owl aviaries and bushdog/coati enclosure, so not all bad.

They are few shinning beacons of hope in the Zoo the rest of the place doesn't look that good!

Domestic Guineafowl

You don't get Demoiselle Cranes in Borneo. On the other hand, you probably DO get Domestic Guineafowl. What a waste of an aviary. Even a flock of Red Junglefowl would be more geographically appropriate.

Im very suprised you only saw 2 species. When I went at the start of September, there were alot more species including night herons and egerts?

They are/were in the exhibit that runs down the side by the road, and have all been moved to the aviary that used to house the Ground Hornbill,by the Tufted Deer or to the Ibis aviary,in the pets corner, because they have a hole in the netting!!
The Aviary that this picture was taken in used to house, alot more than this including some very nice,Little Pied Cormorants all of which seem to have disappeared!!
