Foolish Brum - you probably think that red lamp in the photo is a heat lamp running on conventional electricity. It's not even plugged in, it has one of the hamsters fuel rods in it's base. The hamsters are just pretending to be behind the times, deceiving you by looking cute and running in their little wheels.
If the hamsters were to develop nuclear power, they would be in direct competition for the green energy from the Gerbil Windfarm.......
But seriously, are the Guinea Pig volleyball team good enough to get funding towards the next Olympics?
I'm sure the only reason they converted the reptile house was because they were using far too much coal to heat the individual exhibits! If only they'd waited for someone to turn up with this new fangled electricity that all the other zoos had years ago...
