Its very much a case of camouflaging what were a run of very old cages and revamping them as a new exhibit, but Big cats will never mess up enclosures like chimpanzees do- Chimps filth up the windows, compact the floor soil while the enrichments given them in the form of old plastic barrels and bottles, cardboard boxes etc all combine to give a poor enclosure even more of a 'rubbish dump' feel. I am sure in its new life as 'Leopard Row' it will attract no critisism.
That may or may not be- I'll reserve my own judgment till its finished. But I'll bet you no-one will criticise it, whatever it is like, the way they did when Chimps were living in it.
My personal preference would have been to see this area demolished, as I said before.
