With new signage (former giraffe paddock, of course).

What are all the tall tree trunks for next to the small Monkeys building?

I do miss the Giraffes and I hope they will be back in the long term.

I've seen mention of a Marmoset tree top walk on a zoo map somewhere along the line, in that exact location. I don't know if it's imminent but it'd be another relatively inexpensive but rather nice addition.

Thanks! That would certainly make sense and would fit the pattern of how they achieved the new lemur and guenon enclosures.

Someone there is obviously trying to get away from the 'cage' enclosures where possible, with these more open-plan options. I would say that is a very good idea. However, there are so many Primates there, they can't possibly do it for all of them, so many will still remain caged. Can't be helped but I would still like to see a few more singletons/non-breeders rehomed elsewhere, so it has less of a 'stamp collection' feel.

This giraffe/Camel exhibit is still an eyesore in the centre of the Zoo IMO, but it was sensible to replace the Giraffe with the large (and very dull) Camels, the only animals they have that fit the scale really. Perhaps in time they can think of something more interesting to do with it.

Which map did you see this mentioned? Will this be a brand new enclosure area for the Tamarins and Marmosets then and maybe knock down the old enclosure?

It was one handed to me when I last went, which was during the construction of the Lemur Walk-through, Monkeys Outside etc. It had those marked on it and also the 'Marmoset Tree Top Walk' exactly where those trees are. The map didn't suggest the old enclosure would go, or give any further information.

I would have thought it would the same arrangement as the lemurs/guenons, with one of the old enclosures being given access out to the new one.
