By "The Mushroom", do you mean that rather odd cafe thing, near the penguins? If so, I had the worst cup of coffee I have ever drunk there, having queued for what felt like several years and then needed to take out a new mortgage to pay for it. And then it felt as if the whole structure might blow away when a gentle breeze appeared. Not my favourite zoo eatery, I have to say - so, if it is gone, good riddance (even if a tent doesn't seem like the most wonderful of replacements).
