I understand that Twycross still has an outstanding primate collection, not to the extend of Hainan and Kloss gibbons of course - but still. It is a zoo that you don't hear too much about outside of Britain - undeservedly maybe?
Twycross has, in my opinion, a nice collection with a few rarities (and not all of them primates, there are dhole, aardwolf, Arabian striped hyena etc - all of which don't seem to be too common in the UK). However, some of the enclosures are somewhat worryingly old-fashioned - I can see why it doesn't get too much attention overseas, it isn't in the top tier of UK zoos as, say, Chester, London, Edinburgh, Bristol etc are.
