Do you think the animals are trully restrained in this exhibit? Or is it that they have assumed the space is there territory?
It's part of a small monkey complex. To the left of the picture is a building which has the indoor accomodation and even further left than that is the geoffrey's marmoset enclosure (which is a more traditional cage).
so looking from left to right the complex goes:
marmoset cage - marmoset indoor - tamarin indoor - tamarin cage(shown in the picture)
The moat is about 3 foot wide and I would be fairly sure that the tamarins couldn't get over the moat.
its the other way around the marmosets are on this side and the tamarins are on the other less lavish side. unless they rotate them around, but in the three years ive worked there i havent seen that happen.
