seabird photos are quite hard to get. Because the boat is usually bobbing up and down you get lots of shots missing either the head or the body of the bird! And you can only take photos when not feeling seasick because looking through the viewfinder makes that much worse!!
thanks. It's not cropped or anything, it just happened to be centred fortuitously well! I like its hunchy pose as well. I think it might be overexposed on the face but I guess photographing a white seabird on the ocean will get that.
You should try and get out on a Kaikoura pelagic, much better than those Sydney ones
