Pretty sure that's a Barasingha(Swamp deer) stag- they certainly have Swamp deer, not sure that they have Sambar? Sambar has a longer tail...

They do have Sambar, but I wasn't sure if it was one in the photo or not. I have changed the photo description :)

I think this one's a Swampdeer/Barasingha, but its quite difficult to tell from the distance/angle and with his antlers not developed. Are the Sambar in here as well?

Yes, they're both in here, but I'd agree with you this is a Barasingha - it's got the black markings on the muzzle, for one.
