No capybara came off of the dwa in 2007 along with many other exotics. Many exotics are kept privately and kept very well (recently there have been some great species breeding in private collections)
I'm not sure how happy I am with the public seeing these animals and then ultimately being able to buy them but at least they have a good policy of teaching exotic animal husbandry.infact most of the animals on their livestock list have been advertised by a pet shop supplier over the past few years.
