Is this place worth a visit? Looked at their website and they dont seem to have a large amount of animals, but that wouldn't stop me going if it's a nice place.

It's not too bad at all - and it's literally minutes (about 15-20?) up the road from the RSCC, so doubles up very easily.
It's not elaborate, but there's a couple of very interesting species - most notably Europe's only Little Red Fruit Bats - and it's pleasingly diverse for a small collection. Well worth a look, I'd say.

Thanks, that's good to hear, but linking into my other thread about visiting a colection within the London area is it easy to reach via public transport?

It's in quite a small village so it'd come down to how close the bus route was. You may need someone more local to advise you - I've only ever visited by car.
EDIT: According to the park's website:
We are easily reachable by bus with a stop right outside the entrance to the park! This bus stop is serviced by StageCoach so please contact them before travelling for more details.

Wingham Wildlife Park is on the Canterbury to Sandwich, bus route. In my days of living in Wingham Village was a basic Bird Park, but improved over the year,s into the collection it is today. Unless bus number,s have changed it used to be the 257 from Canterbury, you need to check bus imfo as not all buses, go past the Park.
