A pity to see another collection which has gone down this route- far better to see them flying in a large aviary IMO but of course this is a cheaper option.

Enclosures here overall seem functional rather than anything else but some(tiger,jaguar, barbary ape etc) are quite bare and look like some internal planting of vegetation etc might help.

(Though to be fair there was a large parrot aviary with cockatoos and amazons in addition to this, though it was still very bare with no natural vegetation)
 
Pinioned or feather clipped parrots kept on branches in open air exhibits like this a bit of a throw back to an earlier method of keeping them. Its been largely surpassed with free-flight aviaries- or even bird shows where the birds can fly at regular intervals. Both are far preferable to this method.:( Wingham doesn't rate highly in my estimation by having a display like this.
