Thanks for these pictures. It's hard to tell, do you think the chimps will be able to see out over the top of the solid wall? And will they be able to climb on the metal bars on the top of the enclosure?
It seems that the Yerkes chimps are still the plan, but everything is held up in the US courts. If they do arrive, it is doubtful it will be this year.

They might be able to see out from the taller, central climbing frames, but I don't think they will be able to physically reach the top of the wall and the 'ceiling' bars from the side climbing frames, although I could be wrong. At the moment the wall is very stark, it seems a shame that the metal 'top' wasn't brought further down the sides to give the chimps better views out (maybe there is some reason they didn't?). There are lots of little shrubs planted around the wall perimeter, and dotted around the 'outdoor' area, so hopefully these will have time to establish a little before any chimps arrive to provide more cover.
