Shane has been there since 2004. He arrived with his half brother Sly who sadly died about 2 years ago and he was only 13 or so. I dont know what he died of but i really hope he wasnt put down to fighting with Shane.
Sly and Shane didnt have the best welcoming from the 7 Woburn ladies when they arrived! (4 died within a year or so of their arrival mostly of old age) Being used to the very calm situation with the old males Romeo (died 2002) and Legs Diamond (died 2003) They didnt take kindly to a group of young very loud male lions!
This sort of set the tone for the future years its a shame Sly has died but one thing i think Woburn has done wrong is sevre over-breeding - But thats just my thoughts really.
