ummm no Pertinax!

Is it unusual for a safari park to have bears as part of a drive through?

(Sorry, I couldn't resist that gruesome story....)
Its the only one I've been in but I don't go to many Safari Parks. Certainly Longleat/West Mids or Knowsley haven't got them.

There was a 'Loch Lomond Bear park' a while ago (is it closed?) but I don't know if their reserves were drive through- or if there are bears in Safari Parks in Europe.

Just stumbled across this thread...

I'd love to know who you spoke to about the ages of the bears! zoogiraffe you got it correct. The last bear born was in 1998, so he'll be 13 this year. Coincidentally he is also the one that enjoys walking between cars and stealing hubcaps - curse of being the youngest perhaps?! :D

Well thanks for that its nice to know my mind is not going;)

Suffice to say someone who didn't work with the bears directly, though it's quite possible it's my memory rather than their info that was in error! :D

Thanks for the correction, either way!
